Its summer in India now, and people out there would be looking out for a travel destination that would help them not only to beat summer this year but to have a memorable vacation with their loved ones. Expedia India recommends the following getaways for this summer. They are as follows:

1. Turkey: Turkey has a lot to offer the travelers right from the beautiful temple of Athena that should be visited either in the moonlight or early morning when it soaks in beauty to museums which are scattered throughout the city.There are museums that vary from meteorology, education, toys, cartography, natural history, to name a few. Not to miss on the Mediterranean region that is a paradise for sunbathing, swimming and sports activities. The ideal time to visit Turkey is during April to September.

2. Peru:
A typical tourist destination, Peru has a lot to offer to its visitors. One of the main attractions of Peru are its exotic beaches. There are beaches for adventure travelers and beaches for tourists who wish to spend their vacation in a serene and memorable way. It is also a home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu, built on a granite mountain and one of the most extraordinary examples of scenic architecture in the world. The ideal month for visiting Peru is June.

3. Croatia:
Croatia is an international travel destination that is not yet explored by many travelers. Thus, it is a uncrowded summer vacation destination on the Mediterranean. Croatia is also a perfect destination for a lazy summer summer holiday where you can spend time swimming and sun-bathing. The best time to visit Croatia is around June to August.

4. Fiji:
Fiji is a dream destination for travel lovers with its unspoiled white sandy beaches, virgin rainforests, translucent blue seas, and the friendly people of Fiji. The ideal time to visit Fiji is around June through August.

5. Vietnam:
The cities of Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi are two diverse cities with one as the cultural and the other as a commercial centre of Vietnam. It is also known for the popular market place, Ben Thanh Market, which is the largest old-style market in the central district, with several hundred small stalls stuffed with goods on almost impassably narrow aisles. Another top hot spot is the Ho Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Quong Ninh province. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes making it a serene tourist spot.

6. Sri Lanka:
Sri Lanka is a true destination for nature lovers with its beaches, hills and biodiversity that are yet to be explored by the travelers to the country. One of the popular destination here is the Hikkadua beach resort, which is famous for its coral and sub-tropical fish. Negombo beach, a fishing town North of Colombo offering sea food in plenty. It is a heaven for foodies.
